- Audio Clues: heardle 80s provides players with intros from iconic songs of the 1980s. Most of the time, these clips include instrumental parts, singing parts, or catchy melodies from the song.
- Enter your prediction: Below the audio player, there is space for players to enter their predictions. The text box consists of letters of the alphabet, and the player uses them to form the song title.
- Guessing Limit: The player has a number of attempts to correctly guess the song title, usually expressed as a certain number of “listens”. When the number of listens runs out, the game will end.
