What is the maximum gas resistance you can have

Asking this because i played with someone in cabin fever and standing outside his health never dropped unless he got hit by infected , he told me his gas resistance were 100%, most i could get with free gas mask was 69% res and that was before they removed the ability to add upgrade to free gear.
