So after being away from the game for years I heard they got rid of spec weapons. Did they at some stage give players the option to buy the spec weapons for perm??

They did sell them for perm before !

Yes, there was a time where you could buy them for perm. Many people (including myself) picked some up, because we would use them anyways :P
The thing in reloaded now is that you can actually use those prior spec only weapons as any character, cause they got rid of the spec only system due to none being left/the concept being thrown away.

Both can not just be bougt anymore.
If you have alot of luck, you can still get the characters tho!
They are hidden in the gearboxes, and can come out as perms aswell.
I guess you need a LOT of luck for that tho...

Yes they did, and I wish I had bought all the spec weapons, primarily meds, because now FT can be a little difficult.

i miss the old system of spec and licenses but i wish to make it with expensive gp and gc
