  • How to make Combat Arms successful again?

    1. Updating old machinery - It's an old game, not that that's bad or anything, it just means that some of the things in it are out-of-date. For example, models and animations. They DESPERATELY need new ones. Back in the day, yeah they were ok, but now its just embarrassing since every other shooter game has way better ones. Textures and everything are fine since the reloaded thingie, its just that the models seriously need some work. Particles and effects too.

    2. Making it known - It had a great reputation and was known for being really fun and every guy in middle school played it years ago. Now it's not so known. That being said, people have to know that it exists and its better. Put some commercials or something on youtube, put it somewhere where people go to often, like facebook, or instagram or whatever other crap people look at. Get it out there

    3. Playerbase. Um, everygame that wants to be good needs a good playerbase, this kinda goes along with making it known.

    4. Add something new - adding something new makes people interested by it. Old dogs can learn new tricks, and people like new tricks. Add some new game modes, or improve older ones. Add new maps and guns and classes (just dont make them unbalanced). Old gameplay can stay, but you can still implement new stuff.

    5. Not pay-to-win - I think this a pretty big reason why it isn't that successful. Nexon had a lot of pay to win games (maplestory *cough*) and combat arms kinda fell under that. Now since combat arms is under new management, it opens opportunity for players to explore without paying money.

    1. Im not against getting updated models and animations but i also do not care as much for that as i care for the actual performance while playing the game and would say models and animations updates are second rate stuff.

    2. Im not quite sure if i agree since even back in 2010 this game have had a hideous reputation for its amount of hackers, glitchers, bugs, lag and more.
So instead of making it known i would suggest making it known that the game is improving and is getting back on track, though that is something the playerbase have to agree with else its reputation is gonna be as bad as it always have been.

    3. This is probably one of the biggest problem this game has currently, once people get comftable with bad habits its hard to kill such habits in the playerbase wich in turn halts growth of the playerbase.

    4. Adding new stuff or changing stuff is always good to keep the game fresh.

    5. Most games wich use micro transactions usually go for cosmetics if they wana leave the pay to win outside, some do implement stuff that can be bought but could just as easly be gotten though playing the game normally.
Being able to buy the same items using money as you would using gp will work if the actual items aint restricted like it was back in the days by level requirement while money could get it regardless of level.

#2 bring back Super Elites & Megaphones & VIP Pass for real money only aka for NX only.

      #3 bring back lobby chats.

#4 bring back Specialists with LTC+ restrictions.

Its not called NX anymore its called GC, new company, new currency.

#2 brings more bad than it brings good.
VIP pass was essentially paying for an instant respawn hack but instead its legal.
Megaphones had to be constantly under check since people used it to harass others even though they where blocked by that person (bypassed block function).
Elite or super elite doesnt matter both of them bring lots of harassment, abuse and unfair play, but besides from that implementing them again would bring a shit ton of work for Valofe to do since reports would be flooding in.

These are good objectives, but think of how Nexon dealt with the game, maybe you should provide how to reach these goals reasonably. Otherwise i dont think these goals will progress well given that i doubt that any Devs in Valofe had played the game enough to know how to reach those goals that wont piss off the community.
