  • Sealed weapon solution and great suggestion for classic and future ca

    dear valofe,

i've been playing combat arms for a long time now, and i think i found a great solution. not only will it fix having iventories stuffed with sealed unusable guns. It wil also give valofe an extra income to host more events and make the game better.

    - Auction house

    - A place where players can put Sealed items for either GC or GP and a small percentage would go to valofe as funds to improve the game.

    - A certain level would be needed to acces the auction house. ( sergeant first class or master sergeant )

    - Option to put bids or Buyout.

    - Weekly events

    - Weekly events will attract players and keep them intrested in playing the game.

    - Events bring people together and are a fun expierience to have with your friends.

    - More exp !

    - One of the reasons combat arms was so addictive was the urge to achieve the next level as quick as possible but the new exp system just doesn't feel as a grind anymore. It feels as if leveling isn't part of the game anymore

    - Make exp events for modes on weekly basis. For example have a week 200% on fireteam modes and the next week have 200% on VIP escort. this will make players expierience the full game.

    -Steam

    - A very important aspect if not the most important is marketing. Being able to sell the product, I think the solution for this will be steam as it will attract meny new people to play combat arms. Let's be honest who hasn't searched the free games section on steam looking for something fresh? I think everybody has at least once.

This is my personal list of wishes for future combat arms that i think would improve the game overal.

    Kind regards.

They are some decent ideas like steam and weekly events, not to sure about the EXP one though..

        Editing a comment
i think the majority of the players would aggree because everybody wants a game where they can level and have a purpose. Also homework/school/jobs. we need to make time for the things we love but there's no point in playing a game where even when you play 8hours a day, you make zero progress

      Auction house
No matter how you look at it, it will reduce the income from GC purchases for Valofe and that is not realy a viable option to a game thats dying because it has such a small playerbase left.

      Weekly events
Its not a bad idea depending on how they execute the event:
Make them focused on giving exp bonuses (and they are nothing more than passive exp boosts)
Make them give a cetrain item to everyone for a couple of days (and you will flood every room with the same itemmaking combat feel very stale)
Make challanges where all players recieve the same permanent item and players will start to afk for their favorite item and only make players buy less GC on average.
Make challanges where all players recieve the same item for only a set amount of days and players will complain about the reward being lousy and/or not worth it at all.
Make actual events thats different from time to time, not giving out items too often and having too stale events/challanges will make Valofe have to put in a big amount of work into upholding these events, even more so if they are a weekly comodity.
Having events less often is a better option if you have stuff like the old jobs for players to do inbetween the events, though the jobs would need to have abit more different from day to day than what they where back in the days.

      More exp
When you wrote more exp as the title i doubt that its realy more exp that you want but actually for the exp and rank that you gain to actually mean something.
An option to this for instance could be to unlock skinned versions with rank, leaving the standard versions as an alternative to the skinned versions depending on your rank, this would in turn give an incentive for people to gain exp and level up.
Giving players more exp isnt gonna help with anything, giving players an incentive to gain more exp and level up is on the otherhand is.
Though in my opinion having to have an incentive to play more is just a lazy mans way of saying that your forcing yourself to play a boring game.

      Steam
Putting the game on steam wont necessary be a good thing, it will give the game more publicity but just getting more publicity does not mean its good for marketing.
If the game gets good feedback on steam it would probably result in an increase in the playerbase.
On the otherhand getting bad feedback on steam would probably make it even harder than before for the playerbase of the game to grow.
In my opinion the game is nearly sure to get bad feedback on steam no matter if its put there now or if its put there when its reverted back to classic combat arms.
