launcher gives me a "direct3d device initialize failed" error

Can't get into the game because of a directed3d device error, anyone know the fix to this? I didn't have this issue before.

I would suggest you to follow the steps provided below and update us on the status of the issue.


Ensure Hardware Acceleration Is Set To Full

a. Click the Start button and search for 'screen resolution'. Open the link titled "adjust screen resolution".

b. Click "Advanced" at the bottom-left.

c. Go to the "Troubleshoot" tab. If there is an option to do so, click "Change Settings". After that move the "Hardware Acceleration" slider to the maximum. if this option is not available, please skip ahead to step 2 below.

d. Click "OK". If it prompts to restart, restart your PC.

Now try checking the DirexctX Diagnostics (search 'dxdiag' in the Start menu). If you can enable all features (Direct3D, DirectDraw, etc) then your problem is solved. If not, keep reading.

Are you trying to play on integrated graphic card? Did you install graphic drivers for it? What graphic card do you have and what PC configuration?

I fixed the issue, had a feeling it was my display settings for my graphics card so messed around with them.
