Good day, this is the Combat Arms: Reloaded Development Team Manager.

We started the series of development briefings for the purpose of better communicating with the players at least every month. We hope you take the time to read through all of them to get an idea of what we envision for the game.

The issue that players have experienced ever since the release of Reloaded is that they can’t use the Inventory and Shop while inside a room was revised first as we believe that the old load out is one of the most inconvenient part of the game since the last briefing.

We’ve also implemented the Bubba’s Secret Stash (BSS) System from the Classic and has been improved to fit Reloaded. It’s thought of as a better way of obtaining items than the RNG packages and sort of like an homage to the original.

We are now currently working on the skill evaluation related to the improvement of the matchmaking system mentioned last month. Through this, we’ll display the grade of each player’s skill level in each game mode, however, we’re also wondering what substantial compensation we can give to the player who has achieved the highest grade for the first time in each mode.

We’re also looking into how to improve the shopping experience for the players in Reloaded. For the time being, we have our existing shop where players can compare weapons to see how their stats differ from each other but doesn’t really give the player the confidence of what the recoil feels like, how fast the weapon can fire, and the damage it can actually deal.

An idea was formed from this issue and a possible workaround for this is to have the Shooting Range have its own customized Shop function. Players can be able to purchase the weapon directly from the Shooting Range after testing it.

Perhaps the vision we have for Reloaded might be different from what some people have in mind but please bear with us about the direction intended for Reloaded. Any feedback from this briefing will be valuable advice for us.

We’ll do our best to make the game experience better for everyone, help us accomplish that.

    Thank you.

iwillkickyou are you able to describe why exactly the Development Team has reduced the EXP/GP gain on Set Items? The EXP rates are obnoxiously low anyway and you decide to reduce the one of the possible ways of obtaining a little bit higher amount of EXP with this nerf, yes, it's a NERF, it's not rebalancing at all. I have done over 100 games, my level is currently General (4 Star) and from these 100 games I only managed to raise my percentage from 25 to 28. Pretty sure I would have gotten triple of that on normal EXP rates we used to have before, what you small minds call The Classic. What you possibly could do is make those set items available to all players, like Combat Arms Brazil (managed by the more successful publisher than you would ever dream of to be - LevelUp), for example.

I however must thank you for returning the Bubba Secret Stash, since those award the players with EXP/GP Passes and make us able to increase this horrendous amount of EXP we get per game by 25%. Much obliged.

I'm glad to see you guys are taking Reload serious for a change. Listen to the community and communicate back to us the trick to a successful game. I wanted to know if you guys have any plans to improve Reload's GUI and UI. If you can make the game lobby/game rooms etc look like that of Classic, I guaranteed Classic players will come back to reload. There is no point in working on two separate games. Also, are you planning to re-implement Specialist weapons back into reload? And if yes, please do not make a mess like classic where everyone has 2 turrets. Not everyone like to have every single room filled with specialist weapons. These are best used on PvE modes like zombies and such. Have item like warlord that's helps room mod deactivate specialist weapons.

Do not re-implement Elite mods. Too many abusers will destroy the player base. Classic is a mess because of this. You should limit to at least 20 uses per day on Elite mod and 30-40 uses per day on Super Elite mod. Be smart, have balance. Not everyone likes every single feature of the game. I have been playing Combat Arms since 2008. I have seen a lot of abuse and it got worst after Elite mod. It gives way too much power to the player who has it.

      P.S.
Bubba's secret stash items should have more than 1 day use. 20 thousand GP is not easy to make to win an item for only one day. It is discouraging to play for so long for 20 k GP and then yo win a gun for 1 day. I will not spend my GP on that until this is made fair. Thank you

Elite Moderator can be retooled to be able to kick players in the Lobby only. All players can still use the usual F5 thing in the game, you can only kick abusers and hackers when the game is over.

Glad to see the MM is being worked on. Would like to suggest to add Group Play (Party queue) also.

Would love to see the next update (After the MM) to be about UI changes / Improvements.

What I'd like to see in the near future is a fix for the incorrect HP on certain vests as infected and incorrect looks on the sleeves on them as well. A few good examples would be Rainer/Morris/Raon and many more.

The inventory/ lobby thing was my biggest gripe with the UI, and I am glad you guys fixed it and are working on more. I like the aesthetic of the UI, but buttons are too small and weapon sorting is still too fiddly.

Also, please implement 8x anti-aliasing into the classic engine.

On the topic of "give the player the confidence of what the recoil feels like", currently the Shooting Range does not allow you to attach weapon modifications to guns. This is a problem because we can't test how the in-scope recoil behaves or how an extended magazine effects the realod speed. Also, in regards to "the damage it can actually deal" it would be nice to have dummies with different types of armor placed at different ranges because at the moment we can't really test stuff like the damage of a sniper rifle vs. a tanker vest at long range.

Hard to tell cause you never really laid out to us what your long term vision for CA actually is, we can tell you we would like to see XY but does this coincide with your vision for the game? I dunno, it's impossible to give you feedback on something that currently only exists on a paper sheet in your office.
The game is certainly not beyond saving despite what some people say but let's not kid ourselves, this game is not going to win any beauty contests so what it can't offer in terms of visualls has to be compansated by funktionallity and there is certainly a lot room for improvement in this regard but the question is: does this fit with your vision for the game? Are we going to get the ability to create different weapon / gear loadouts? During the time we have to wait for the respawn: are we going to get the option to see our dead from the PoV of the person who killed us (this would make it a lot easier to identify hackers)? Are we going to get an extensive weapon filter for custom rooms? I could go on and on but you get the point, you guys need to give us some infos about this vision otherwise we can't give you the feedback you're asking for and it would be nice to know about your planes while they are still in their conceptual phase because giving you feedback on something you already spent a lot of resources on isn't really as useful as it could have been if you knew about it in advance.

I was really happy to read that Valofe has some interest in the future of the game. Thanks for informing me by this briefing. Thanks for solving the game/inventory issue; this was a great annoyance. But.....Valofe there is still a lot of work to do.
