  • For the love of God...

I imagine the Valofe team has gone over the headache that was how Combat Arms Reloaded became a thing. I'm going to skip over Nexon "updating" Combat Arms so they could sell it and focus more on what the players needed.

    1. GP shop for all items + durations (including perm)
-Please implement this in the Classic version. Buying your gear with real money is great for people like myself, but honestly it just ruined the gaming experience for everyone else. Do not make the mistake of turning CA back into a "Pay to Win" game. Pardon my language, but this is where the term "NX W#$@%" came from. It won't matter if items get ridiculous GP prices, just give people the option.

    2. Create tools focused toward building up the community. Clans always provide a welcoming atmosphere to multiplayer games and create deep roots for years. Give people more reason to communicate with their friends on a regular basis. Let people host tournaments, allow large scale battles with multiple clans (rooms with 16+ players in a larger map, for example), make it easier to communicate with players while in game, etc.

    3. Pushing GC/NX purchases as the main front page updates
-All I saw from Nexon was 1-3 months straight of trying to sell us NX gear/weapons with some kind of GP/EXP events in between. They rarely hosted any GM events, and even then they made it confusing as to how to participate.

    4. Some of the NX gear/weapons were overpowered. But because people that didn't buy NX did not have access to them, it just confounded the issue. So really, as long Valofe implements #1, this gets taken care of in the long run.

Having Nexon play hot potato with CA and the community has fragmented them. I honestly hope Valofe can find it in them to implement #1 & #2 to give this game new life.

P.S. How do you say Valofe? Va-loaf or Va-low-fe?

    1. With a good GP economy you would not need to have items up for permanent duration, having items up for permanent duration will reduce the amount of money spent on the game in both short and long run, the ones to suffer from this the most are the players since if the game goes bad enough Valofe have the option to just shut it down.

    2. Giving the players the option to socialise is good, however Valofe would need to do ALOT of fixes to the old version of combat arms and have even more stable servers to be able to host rooms containing +16 players when the old versions of combat arms and its servers barely could handle rooms of 8 players without heavy desync created serverside.

    3. Given how Valofe have yet to be able to handle stuff like hackers even if several players have made several reports of the same player hacking, i just dont see how they would have any GM's to spare for events.

    4. Weapons that where simply better than others had no place in the game from the start.
Combat arms where a game where they advertised having a multitude of guns, that changed as they started to implement items for powercreeps (essentially releasing an improved version of the last gun each time they released a new weapon, didnt matter if the gun looked bad, shitty sound or a broken model as long as it was better than the last cause players paid to win nothing else)

I am completely fine with them going back to pay to win, because then it gives people a reason to spend money on this game. If they just made everything free, then they wouldn't be making any money. No money, no game!

They can always set high GP prices to push people to buy GC. I was honestly surprised at how cheap Nexon made the GP shop. But even then, I still used up my 2m GP stash :|

But again, one of the reasons for the GP shop was because CA became pay to win which led to where we are today.
